The School of Optoelectronic Engineering and Instrumentation Science (abbreviated as OEIS) of Dalian University of Technology was officially established in January 2017. It is a new school formed through the optimization and integration of selected departments, disciplines, and faculty from the former School of Physics and Optoelectronic Engineering, the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering, and the School of Mechanical Engineering, as part of the university's strategic goal of achieving "Double First-Class Initiative" status.
