I. University Profile
Dalian University of Technology (DUT) is the first new-type regular university founded by the Communist Party of China on the eve of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, dedicated to building an industrial system for the new nation. As a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, DUT is part of the national “211 Project” and “985 Project”, and also a Class A Double First-Class University.

II. School Profile
The School of Optoelectronic Engineering and Instrument Science (OEIS) is located on the Lingshui Main Campus. Established in January 2017 to support the university’s “Double First-Class” strategy, it is a fast-growing school focused on improving its talent cultivation system and teaching quality.
Two undergraduate programs — Optoelectronic Information Science and Engineering and Measurement and Control Technology and Instrument — are accredited as National First-Class Undergraduate Programs.
The school currently has 53 faculty and staff members, including:1National High-level Talent,2 National High-level Young Talents,2 Chief Scientists of Key Projects in the National Defense Science and Technology Innovation Zone.
Many young faculty members have been selected for the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program for Young Top-Notch Talents, the National Natural Science Foundation Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas), and the Young Talent Lifting Project.
Focusing on major national strategic needs and key core technological challenges, the school conducts organized research with rapidly growing funding. It has undertaken nearly 200 research projects, with per capita research funding exceeding ¥1 million for consecutive years.
